Three of the men, aged 29, 45 and 55, are being detained while the Home Office tries to have them deported.

The other three, aged 36, 41 and 45, have been given immigration bail while their cases are dealt with. They too could also be deported if it is found that they have no right to be in the UK.

A 47-year-old Pakistani man who was also living in the house was not arrested but is also on immigration bail.

Ian Milner, from the Yorkshire and Humber Home Office Immigration Enforcement team said: “Raids like this are carried out across the UK every day.

“We are working hard to ensure that there is no hiding place for offenders and that where we find people who are in the country illegally, we will seek to remove them.

“I urge members of the public with information about suspected immigration abuse to get in touch.”
