Emmerdale star to flick the switch for Christmas

TV star Adam Thomas, who plays Adam Barton on ITV’s Emmerdale, will be flicking the switch to light up Dewsbury for Christmas next week.

He will be joined on the stage in Market Place by Pulse Radio’s Paul Foster to turn on the lights on Wednesday at 5.30pm.
There will be music, games and live performances from the Pulse Dancers, HD Hoopers and local performers Jamie Sykes and Jade Helliwell from 3.45pm. 
The event will also feature fairground rides, donkey rides, free face painting, and a Santa’s grotto. 
A sizzling fire sculpture created by Pa-BOOM and funded by Kirklees Council’s creative scene and the Arts Council will be on display. 
There will also be a free screening of Disney’s Frozen at the New Picture House independent cinema in South Street, starting at 6.15pm.

The event has been sponsored by Edinburgh House, Princess of Wales Precinct and Ponderosa.
