Kirklees Council will put in place a signposted diversion route, but is advising motorists to leave additional time for their journeys.

The remaining sections will stay open but temporary traffic lights will be in place while work is being carried out.

In order to avoid rush hour traffic, work will take place from Knowler Hill to Ings Road between 9.30am-3.30pm and from Manor Park Road to Knowler Hill between 6.30pm-11pm.

The council said it would keep neighbouring premises informed of developments and aimed to minimise disruption and disturbance wherever possible.
