Duo’s marathon fundraising steps up a gear
TWO friends will put their pedal power to the test when they tackle a sponsored spin.
Rachael Shaw and Clara Moore are hosting the six hour spin to help raise the £3,000 they must collect to run the London Marathon for Children with Leukaemia. On Saturday February 19, the pair will be spinning in Dewsbury Sports Centre from 11am until 5pm and hope others will lend a hand.
Mrs Shaw, whose 11-year-old daughter Eden died from cancer in 2008, said: “Anybody is welcome to join in. We hope people will donate as much as they can.”
