Drink-driver jailed for death crash
Emma Egan, 26, wept uncontrollably as the circumstances surrounding the crash and the impact the death has had on her victim’s family were read out at Sheffield Crown Court.
Egan, of Ashworth Green, killed 55-year-old Eric Codling in a collision on Whirlowdale Road, Whirlow, last November.

The court heard she had been chasing her boyfriend, who was travelling in a car in front of her, after he had just ended their relationship.
Mr Codling, of Periwood Avenue, Millhouses, died at the scene.
Sentencing Egan, Recorder of Sheffield Judge Julian Goose said: “No order or sentence will bring back the life of the deceased.

“You left the scene when you knew what you had done. There was no reporting of the accident by you.”
Egan was banned from driving for six years.
