The opportunity came when JET announced a unique three year sponsorship package that would see the fuel brand appointed as the Official Fuel Partner of Silverstone Classic and become a sponsor of the two iconic HSCC Super Touring Car Championship races.

Chris and Kevin Cundall, who run the site, said it had been chosen because they had always had a good relationship with the company and had worked with them for 20 years.

Chris said: “I think the main reason we were picked is because we had just resigned a fuel agreement and their logo is on the side of the garage so it would look good on camera.

“I was happy and delighted to find out that our garage was being filmed. It is a good thing for our garage and the company.”

Classic cars, such as a 1963 Austin Healey 3000 and a 1960 Lotus B12 racing car featured in the advert, which was filmed by ITV 4.

One of Chris’s friends even lent his white convertible E Type Jaguar for the filming.

The garage on Leeds Road in Shawcross, Wakefield, was closed for four hours while the filming took place on the forecourt.

The lucky brothers have also been given two free tickets for the Silverstone event on July 25 and are looking forward to the event.

Chris said: “It’s such a prestigious race, I’ve never been but it should be a great day.”
