Dancers quick-step to Town Hall for Dewsbury Day of Dance
Dewsbury Day of Dance featured tutorials in a range of styles, including street dance, and showcased a range of activities available to young people in the area.
Pupils from St Mary’s, St Saviours and Lydgate primary schools took part in performances after learning the routines thanks to school workshops provided by Energise Dance.

Sport and physical activity development officer Emma Whelan, whose team organised the event said: “The event was really successful and lots of fun, there were lots of families through the doors, it had a real inter generational feel to it as there were parents, grandparents and young people of all ages taking part in the drop in workshops.
“Lots of young people took away information about activities they can get involved in.”
