John Cotton Group Ltd has done its part to ensure silent nights by donating pillows and duvets to St George’s Crypt in Leeds.

The donation of surplus stock, which will be split into five deliveries over the course of the year, will furnish the 65 beds at the crypt and two hostels in the city.

And the multiple deliveries from the Mirfield firm mean patrons will be able to take their bedding with them when they move into other accommodation, helping them to furnish their new home.

John Cotton’s business manager Gary Johnson said: “John Cotton has long-standing ties with St George’s Crypt and we’re very proud to support them in their mission to provide comfort and assistance to the homeless and disadvantaged.

“No-one should have to spend Christmas shivering and alone on the city’s streets, and we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to be able to help bring a little comfort, especially at this time of year.”

St George’s Crypt’s lead fundraiser, Cheryl Harrington, said: “We’re very thankful to John Cotton for their continued support. This donation will mean a lot to people who often have so little to look forward to at Christmas.”
