Weapon haul found in car during Batley police search

Officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing team had received reports that a BMW had failed to stop for officers earlier on December 4.

The car was seen going through numerous red lights at speed and was also involved in crimes through the day.

The car was eventually found and recovered in the Soothill area.

It had been abandoned on a grass verge and it appeared to have crashed into a fence.

Police offficers found various weapons which were left inside the vehicle.

Investigations into the discovery are continuing.
