Victim has wallet stolen in Heckmondwike knife point robbery

A man was held at knifepoint as two men took his wallet during a street robbery in Heckmondwike.

At about 10.15am on Sunday June 28, a 35-year-old man was walking along Cook Lane, when he was approached by two men who demanded cash.

The victim said he did not have any, but was pushed up against a wall and threatened with a knife.

The men then stole his wallet, which contained a quantity of cash, before running off towards the Spen Valley Ringway.

The victim was unhurt.

Both suspects are described as Asian, of stocky build and are believed to be in their thirties. Both were also wearing dark clothing.

One of the men is believed to be about 6ft tall with short cropped black hair, a goatee beard.

He was wearing a black baseball cap and spoke with a local accent.

The other man is believed to be about 5ft 8ins tall and was clean shaven.
