TOOLS and equipment worth thousands of pounds were stolen during a series of burglaries in Dewsbury.
Police today issued an appeal for information after burglars struck on June 19.
They targeted properties in Bywell Road, Syke Ings Terrace, Leeds Road and Old Bank Road.
During these incidents, a significant amount of tools and a Ford Transit van were stolen. The vehicle was later recovered on Co-operative Street, Chickenley.
PC Sarah Culley, of Kirklees CID, said: “We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or have any information to contact the police to assist with our enquiries.
“Equally, I would ask that anyone who has seen items such as those pictured for sale or been invited to buy them to come forward.
“Witnesses who saw the Transit van in Chickenley have described a man leaving the vehicle as either Eastern European or Iraqi.”
