Thieves stealing Yorkshire stone costing Batley a small fortune

A number of incidents have taken place in the town and the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team are urging residents to be on the lookout of any suspicious activity.

A spokesperson for the policing team said: "We have been made aware of stone thefts in the Batley area, but unfortunately there has been a delay in reporting this to us and valuable time and evidence has been lost.

"Please report this to us as soon as possible and help us catch whoever is costing the area a small fortune !!!
