Police release more details over Liversedge armed robbery involving masked gang

Police have issued a renewed appeal for witnesses following a robbery at a house in Liversedge.

Kirklees CID are continuing extensive investigations into a robbery at house in the Roberttown Lane area by four men, and can now release more information about the movements of the suspects after the robbery.

The incident took place at about 2pm on Friday July 3, after four suspects wearing balaclavas and armed with weapons forced their way into the property in the and threatened the occupants inside.

They then made off with case and jewellery, leaving the victims unharmed but extremely shaken.

A short while later officers sighted a Black BMW vehicle driving at speed on Cliff Lane, Gomersal, some items from the robbery were discarded from the vehicle.

Following continued enquiries it is now believed that, after abandoning their vehicle, the four suspects travelled on foot across nearby fields which are at the rear of Drub Lane, Gomersal and entered the field near to Ashley Close.

The males were all are described as wearing dark clothing and were potentially carrying two holdall style bags.

Detective Sergeant Adam Johnson from Kirklees CID, said: "This was an incredibly distressing and frightening incident for the victims.

"I would like to appeal to the public for witnesses or any information to come forward to the police to assist us with our enquiries.

"Extensive enquiries into the robbery are ongoing including CCTV and House to house enquiries."
