Police investigating a collision in Mirfield in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries have issued an image of a rider they want to speak to.

The incident occurred in Slipper Lane at about 1.15pm on Monday, January 20 and involved a pedestrian and what was thought to be an electric bike.

The rider, who is believed to have gone towards Leeds Road following the collision, is said to have failed to stop at the scene.

A man in his fifties was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious head and facial injuries.
