Masked robbers have targeted a Dewsbury supermarket for the second time in just over a month.

Two white men armed with a crow bar and what was thought to be a broom handle threatened staff at Tesco Express last night (Thursday).

Police were called at 10.30pm to reports of a robbery at the store in Leeds Road.

The robbers, whose faces were covered by scarves, took money from four tills.

They drove off towards Batley in a dark hatchback car.

The same shop was robbed by two men armed with a knife and a metal bar at around the same time on December 21.

Detectives are investigating potential links to similar robberies on small convenience stores in Kirklees.

Phone Dewsbury CID via 101 with information.
