Man stabbed in Thornhill


A man was stabbed as he walked to his car in Thornhill late last night (Tuesday).

Police were called to Foxroyd Lane estate at 10.40pm after reports of a 22-year-old man being attacked.

The man, who lives in Dewsbury, said he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas as he walked to his silver Vauxhall Corsa.

He was assaulted and suffered injuries to his back and hand before his car was stolen.

The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The car is still missing.
