Man hit in the head with hammer during Dewsbury attack involving group of men

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault at the BP Garage on Savile Road in Dewsbury.

Officers were called at 8.45pm on Wednesday September 16 to reports of a large group of males congregating on the forecourt.

One man was taken to hospital, where he received treatment for a head injury after being hit with a hammer.

Officers would like to appeal to anyone who was in the garage at the time, or anyone who witnessed the assault take place.
