Arrests made as men attempt to break into Batley car dealership

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Batley.

Police were called to a car dealership on Bradford Road, Batley at about 2.09pm this afternoon (15 April) to a report of a robbery.

The incident took place after three men attended at the business in a dark vehicle and then threatened a staff member inside. One suspect was detained at the scene whilst the others fled in the vehicle.

Following enquiries police have arrested two men in connection with the incident.

One was taken to hospital for treatment as a result of injuries he sustained in the incident. These were not life threatening.

Enquiries are ongoing and detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, who saw the suspects arrive at the scene in a dark coloured car, or who has any other information.
