Officers investigating allegations of county lines crime have today (Friday) arrested three people in Liversedge after two morning raids.

Officers investigating allegations of county lines crime have today (Friday 12 June) arrested three people in Liversedge after two morning raids.

Suspected class A and B drugs, cash and a prohibited firearm (a Taser) were also recovered during the searches.

The raids follow ongoing investigations by the Force’s Programme Precision Team into allegations of so-called county lines crime.

Through Programme Precision the Force is working with key partners to bring those responsible for serious and organised crime to justice.

Officers from Programme Precision were joined by colleagues from Kirklees District Neighbourhood Policing Team supported by Project Servitor and the Operational Support Unit (OSU)

Detective Sergeant Nial Kelman from Programme Precision led the operation.

A man aged 29 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs as well as on suspicion of assault, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and public order offences.

A women aged 22 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and possession of a prohibited firearm (Taser)

A second woman aged 46 was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug

All three remain in police custody.
