Crime commissioner to attend public meeting in Dewsbury
Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson will be attending the next public meeting of Dewsbury Area Committee on Thursday May 16.
The meeting, at Dewsbury Town Hall, will feature a question and answer session with the PCC which will be chaired by Coun Masood Ahmed, Chair of the Committee.

Hide AdReducing crime is one of the committee’s top five priorities for action in Dewsbury.
Coun Ahmed said: “This will be a fantastic opportunity for local people to hear from the PCC in person and for him to find out more about some of the good work in community safety already underway in Dewsbury.
“The PCC has responded to a request from a previous area committee public meeting to attend a public meeting and to tour the town to see some of the positive and successful community safety initiatives and partnership working taking place.”
Mr Burns-Williamson, said: “I have been out in Dewsbury recently with your neighbourhood policing team to talk to you about your issues and concerns and see how we can best work together to meet the challenges faced by communities across Dewsbury.

The meeting starts at 7pm.
