Couple cut out of car after midnight crash
Firefighters had to cut a couple from their car after a crash in the early hours of morning.
The man and woman were travelling in a Peugeot 106 which hit a stationary people carrier on Dewsbury Gate Road, Staincliffe, at 12.38am this morning (Thursday).
Fire crews from Dewsbury and Batley cut the roof off the car to free the couple and they were taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital as a precaution.
Police closed the road for an hour.
