College trains and inspires new leaders
Kirklees College has received recognition for a staff training scheme.
Last week staff were presented with the Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Award for staff development. The award was given for the college’s Aspiring Managers programme, which develops and motivates staff to become managers.
AoC chairman Dame Pat Bacon said: “You can be in no doubt that what you have got here is exceptional and innovative best practice.”
The award is sponsored by City and Guilds, who also gave the college a cheque which will be used to fund further training and staff development.
