Chief praised for passion

Sliderobes MD Richard McMullan has won the Vistage Leadership Award for Passion at this year’s ceremony in London.

Vistage bring together successful business leaders and owners into private advisory groups in a bid to make them more effective in their work.

Hosted by Irish comic Dara O’Briain, the awards ceremony and conference at Grosvenor house celebrated 25 years of the organisation.

Mr McMullan said he was very proud to receive the accolade.

He said: “When you have a great team around you and a fantastic product, it is easy to be passionate about striving for excellence and success.

“The time I have spent with my Vistage chairman, Edmund Johnston, the Vistage speakers and members of my Vistage group have re-ignited my passion for learning and development, the other key element of the award, and in the last two years I have learned more about myself, people and business than I had in the previous 45.”

Sliderobes, in Gelderd Road, has also been rewarded for its customer service record. The firm has received Gold Trusted Merchant status from Feefo for a service rating of over 95 per cent last year.
