Charity bus calls into town

Passers-by worried about symptoms, being treated for cancer or caring for loved ones were offered free advice when Macmillan’s mobile information centre visited Dewsbury .

The distinctive green bus, one of four funded by the charity, tours high streets, communities and events to bring confidential information and support to anyone who needs it.

Cancer information and support specialist Debbie Smith said: “It works very well because it’s anonymous. People like that.
