Chance to give your views on services

People in Kirklees are being asked to share their views on the future of local health services.

The South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust is hosting a series of engagement events about its community, mental health and learning disability services in Kirklees, Barnsley, Calderdale and Wakefield.

It said it was reviewing all services to make sure they meet local needs, offer the best care for patients and provide value for money.

Trust chief executive Steven Michael said: “More and more is demanded of the NHS at a time of restrained government spending. Health services must transform and adapt to ensure resources are focussed on areas of most need.

“Our transformation work is being taken forward with an emphasis on co-production – involving people who are important to us in influencing the planning of services.

“By continuing to transform services, we can make sure that when people need to access our services, they have the best experience they can. We also want to make the most of the latest treatments and technologies to help people through illness and to recovery.”

Events are planned at Al Hikmah Centre in Batley on Thursday June 27 and the Hudawi Centre in Huddersfield on Thursday July 4, 10am-1pm with lunch provided afterwards.
