Celebrations at proms nights

Batley Girls' High school's annual Year 11 prom took place at Oakwell Hall Country Park.

Julie Haigh and David Cooper(co-heads) said: “The Year 11 prom is always a wonderful occasion and we were thrilled to be able to celebrate the students’ hard work and dedication with this special evening.”

Batley Girls’ Sixth Form held its Annual Leavers’ Ball at the Crystal Ballrooms in Halifax.

A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all, starting with a formal dinner and an awards ceremony where the school celebrated the achievements of its students and ending with many new memories being created.

The event was full of laughter, fun and even a candy cart! It was the perfect opportunity for students to celebrate their hard work over the past two years of intense A level study.

Mr Cooper added: said: “This was a fantastic event and it was wonderful to share this occasion with so many students and staff. We wish all our Year 13 students the very best for their futures.”
