Care home given seal of approval by residents

A Batley care home has been given the seal of approval by its own residents.

Batley Hall scored highly in a nationwide survey of care standards, which gathered feedback about staff, comfort levels, choice and residents’ input.

The Old Hall Road-based facility was rated particularly highly across the areas of staffing and quality of life in the Your Care Rating questionnaire, which is distributed to nearly 1,000 residential homes across the UK.

Home manager Alison Sowden was delighted with the results.

“It’s great that our residents value the care they receive at Batley Hall. Most of our scores across the four themes are really positive, which shows that life for our residents is happy and fulfilling,” she said.

“While we’re really pleased with our scores, we obviously want to get even better and the survey helps us do that by giving us direct resident feedback. Families can also see at a glance which care homes are committed to raising standards and being transparent as they take part in the survey. Every care home resident should be able to speak up about their care and this is what the Your Care Rating survey does – it gives them a voice.”

Batley Hall is run by luxury care home provider Maria Mallaband, and prides itself on offering comfortable facilities, a stimulating activity programme and excellent levels of care.
