Cannabis plants found in Thornhill home

Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a terraced property in Edge Lane at 11am.

Ten plants were found in a side room on the first floor property.

Inspector Jenny Thompson, who leads the neighbourhood policing team, said: “A 35-year-old man was arrested from the property on suspicion of producing a class B drug.

“This type of action demonstrates the approach we take to tackling drugs and how we will continue to act on information from the public.”
