In another raid officers seized four plants from a property in Greenwood Avenue and gave a caution to the occupant.

Now police are urging residents to keep telling them about suspected drug production so that more criminals can be brought to justice.

Insp Jenny Thompson, of the Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We work closely with communities in Dewsbury and Mirfield and these raids followed intelligence from residents.

“Our policing is based upon feedback from residents and these latest operations to tackle drugs production and road crime are a direct result of that continuing feedback.”

Nine vehicles were seized for not having insurance last week after a seperate operation in response to public concerns in the area.
