Campaigners meet in fight to protect green belt near Mirfield
CAMPAIGNERS fighting the use of green belt land for industrial development have called a meeting.
Under plans put forward by Kirklees Council, 42 hectares of land on the Mirfield border at Cooper Bridge could become an industrial estate.
Campaign group Keep Roberttown and Hartshead Rural is to hold a this week to decide how best to fight the plans.
It will take place at Roberttown Church in Church Road, Roberttown, tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7.30pm.
