B&M Collins, in Westgate, Cleckheaton also snagged the runner-up place for speciality pie pork with a quail egg at the Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage and Products Competition.
Owner Margory Collins said: “It is a big thing to win the Yorkshire championship. It’s something to be proud of.
“We came second in the black pudding competition last year so it was great to win this year.”
The family owned business, run by Margory, daughter Mary and sons John and Michael, beat 20 other entries in the competition.
Mike ward, chairman of the Confederation of Yorkshire Butcher council, which arranged the event, said the shop had represented the area well.
He said: “We had some good entries and ultimately it is personal choice by the judges, but they did really well.”
Mr Ward said the competition started to promote the products and the spirit of independent butchers.
He said: “It’s all about the personal detail that you get with independent butchers, the special touches.
“It has done a lot to enhance the pork pie trade in the county.”
More than 40 different businesses contributed more than 250 different products to a ceremony that was held at the Cedar Court hotel by the M606 in Bradford.
The competition was started 26 years ago in Wakefield and focused on pies before it expanded into other butchers’ products a few years later.
