PC Chris Birkenshaw, of Batley and Spen neighbourhood police team, said : “I would appeal to anyone who may have information which may help identify the man pictured to come forwards.

“Equally, if anyone was in the area around the time of the offence and saw or heard anything suspicious I would encourage them to contact the police.

“The stolen watch is very distinctive and is of great sentimental value to the owner. I would also appeal to anyone who has been invited to buy the watch, or who has seen it for sale to contact the police.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Birkenshaw at Batley and Spen NPT on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
