Brendon Grimshaw’s island of true paradise

A DEWSBURY man who swapped life in Britain for his own paradise island will feature in a BBC TV show.

Brendon Grimshaw bought Moyenne – a small island just half a mile wide – in the Seychelles for £8,000, 50 years ago, and lived there ever since.

The 86-year-old spends his days caring for the island’s tortoises and birds. He will feature on Indian Ocean on BBC2 tonight at 8pm.
