BREAKING NEWS: Man injured in assault outside Dewsbury town centre pub

PARTS of Dewsbury town centre were cordoned off this morning after an assault.

Police were called out by the ambulance service at 3.30am today, after reports of an argument outside the Black Bull pub.

A 41-year-old man was taken to Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield, with a fractured eye socket. He is expected to be released later today.

Half of Market Street was cordoned off until around 10.30am this morning while forensics teams were working.

A police spokesman said three men have been arrested in connection with assault.
