Breaking news: Barnfield saved by Alpha Homes

Alpha Homes is to take over the scheme from Anchor, which currently owns the sheltered housing complex.

Anchor announced in August that it was trying to find a new social landlord to run the complex so that residents would be able to remain in their homes.

An Anchor spokesman said: “We have been entirely focused on achieving this positive outcome for tenants.”

He said Anchor was confident that Alpha would offer a good quality service.
