Boating friends raise money for blind
A group of Batley yacht racers have generously donated to charity as part of their Christmas celebrations.
The Retired Old Friends Wednesday Afternoon Club, who meet in Wilton Park to sail radio controlled boats on the lake, collected £150 for the local Blind Association at their monthly pay-to-enter race.
The club held their annual Christmas Faith Lunch and presented prizes for the year’s competitions.
New members are welcome to join the yacht racing, which takes place every Wednesday afternoon.
