Cleckheaton Town Hall is hosting an event that will knock cricket fans for six.

Commentating legend Henry Blofield will be appearing at the venue on Saturday 27 October.

The star has hung up his microphone after 50 years commentating on international cricket and is now bringing is show Henry Blofield: 78, retired to the area. He will be signing copies of his book at the event.

A spokesman said: “The cherished golden voice of cricket has decided to celebrate his retirement by touring the country with his brand-new show, jam-packed full of unheard anecdotes from on and off the pitch.”

Tickets, £20, are now on sale and are expected to will sell out quickly.
