Local people will be given the chance to gain valuable experience by working on the project.

Big Local will be looking for a local building company to work with on a project to turn a large empty property into two homes.

KNH. Our residents have told us they want us to use Big Local funds to help people into training and jobs and this project will help us to do just that.

“We would really encourage any building firm in the Dewsbury area to get in touch if they are interested in this opportunity.”

Building companies interested in the project should email [email protected] for a briefing pack by September 6.

So far, Big Local has spent £10,000 supporting local groups through its Quick Wins fund.

This has boosted youth, sports and theatre groups and local tenants associations in Dewsbury Moor.
