Batley motorcycle crash victim named

THE motorcyclist killed in a crash on Saturday has been named by police.

The victim was Kyle Luke Stock, 25, of Birstall, who died after his red and blue Honda motorcycle collided with a lorry.

Mr Stock was travelling towards Grassington on the B6265 Hebden Road on Saturday at around 9.20am when he collided with a white HGV travelling in the opposite direction.

The crash happened near a house known locally as Halfway House.

The 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver was unharmed.

The road was closed until 2pm while investigators examined the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

Police are asking witnesses to the crash or anyone who saw either vehicle before the accident to come forward.
