Batley man helps to tackle hate crime
Deputy chair of the cross-departmental hate crime advisory group Iqbal Bhana attended the conference in April.
Mr Bhana, who lives in Staincliffe, expressed his concerns about hate crime throughout the UK.

Hide AdHe said: “We have seen in the last few years a rise in hate crime reporting but hate crime is still becoming more of a problem. In the last two years we have seen a significant rise in the UK.
“The general view is the government is not doing enough at the moment. We need to maintain the pressure on hate crime and treat it as a very serious issue.”
The conference was organised by the Swiss OSCE chairmanship and OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
