Artist Tony Moore pays weekly visits to the residents of Stonehouse Manor in Moorlands Avenue to provide comfort and entertainment.

Activity co-ordinator Sue Gooder said: “Tony helps them if they are upset or restless by sitting and talking to them and sketches them.

“Some of them are really quite good and as many of the residents can’t go out shopping any more, I thought it would make a nice gift for their families.

“So far 19 portraits have been done and it is hoped all 32 residents will one over the Christmas period.”
