Appeal after Thornhill Lees robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a house in the Thornhill Lees area of Dewsbury yesterday (Tuesday).

The incident happened between 7.30am and 8am when three men entered the property on Lees Avenue and demanded property.

They then took a digital safe and the victim’s black coloured Toyota Yaris car, which has since been recovered.

Officers want to speak to three men in connection with the incident. The first is described as white, of slim build and wearing black gloves. He had short dark hair.

A second male is described as white and wearing a hooded top and black gloves. He was of a stocky build.

A third male is described as white, slim and wearing black gloves and a hooded top. All three men are believed to be aged in their 20s or 30s and were possibly dropped off at the scene by a fourth man.

PC Nicole Senior of the Kirklees Robbery Team, said:“I would appeal to anyone who saw three men acting suspiciously to call the Kirklees Robbery Team on: 01484 436552.”
