Ayub Kayat, of Silks Estates UK Limited, has been awarded a level three technical award in Residential Letting and Property Management by the National Federation of Property Professionals.

Mr Kayat, who has worked as an estate agent in Batley and beyond for a decade, decided in 2012 to specialise in lettings and property management, helping his client find investment properties.

The qualification is an entry requirement for the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), the self-regulating body which aims to raise and maintain standards of practice in the private rental sector.

Mr Kayat said: “I am thrilled the hard work has paid off and I have secured the technical award. For me, it is not only a personal achievement but evidence of our professionalism as an agency, showing our clients that they are dealing with someone who is knowledgeable and who they can trust to do a good job.”

ARLA managing director Ian Potter said: “Obtaining this award represents not only Ayub’s dedication to developing as an agent but also his commitment to working to the high industry standards which ARLA seeks to promote.”
