An application to build on the site in Lock Street, on the border between Savile Town and Thornhill Lees, has been submitted to Kirklees Council.

The proposal includes demolishing the existing industrial units and a disused railway embankment and building 106 three and four-bed family homes.

Members of the public have until Friday 30 March to comment on the proposals.
