The average builder in the North East earns £24,000, is called Dave – and loves a Jaffa Cake!

A study of 500 builders sought to profile the daily lives of Britain’s handiest men, with results showing that on average builders in the North East have been married for 11 years and drive 12,324 miles a year.

They have five hot drinks every day – normally tea with just the one sugar – and clock off by 5pm.
