The ever popular Bobtown Beer Bash was held at Roberttown Community Centre for the 15th time in July, with visitors enjoying a wide range of real ales, cider, gin, rum and wine, and a host of live music acts.
Proceeds from the event go to local groups and charities, with 20 chosen this year to receive donations at the special evening at the community centre.
The guest list for the evening included 18 of the recipients, plus this year’s event sponsors and volunteer staff. Founding committee chairman, Malcolm Firth, who has now retired from the organising team, was also presented with a gift, whilst there were gifts from the village of Roberttown to Chris and Andrew Buckles, of Buckles Butchers, who have also retired this year after supporting the Bobtown Beer Bash from the start with their BBQ’s.
Those present on the night and pictured here in this fabulous gallery were: Roberttown Community Centre; Brighter Grays; Project Colt; My Mito Mission; Tandem Trekkers; Roberttown in Bloom; Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice; Roberttown Christmas Lights; Crown Service Veterans; Roberttown Community Cycling Club; Spen Valley High School; Roberttown Church; Roberttown Scout Group; Roberttown Guides; Hartshead Rainbows; Meltham Wildlife Rescue Centre; Roberttown Lane Preschool; and MND Association, West Yorkshire.
The 16th Bobtown Beer Bash will take place on Saturday, July 31, 2027.
