5. The Black Swan Helmsley
If you had to design the perfect tea room, The Black Swan in Helmsley is how it would look. Think pristine white table cloths, warm wooden floors, solid oak panelling and beautiful patisserie nestling in the corner. The sandwiches here are excellent, as is the service. The classic cream tea is particularly good.
6. W Hamond Tea Room Whitby

7. Raithwaite Sandsend
At Raithwaite Sandsend near Whitby, set on its own country estate, Indulgent Afternoon Tea is a labour of love for foodies. A celebration of local produce, it includes slow roast Yorkshire ham and Whitby Fortune’s kipper pate with rhubarb chutney, Yorkshire curd tart and Earl Grey Cake with icing, made with heather honey from North York Moors, all served from their chic new bar or freshly revamped and stylish restaurant

One of Leeds’ most sought after locales has unveiled its afternoon tea menu with a Japanese twist. Issho - Japanese word for “together” – features a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city. Feast on both savoury and sweet dishes, from gorgeous pastel Temari sushi balls, seabass drizzled in citrus Ponzu sauce and delicious sweet treats like chocolate and Matcha brownies.
