Talented Gomersal pupil sells artwork to raise funds for charity

A Gomersal Primary School pupil has used his artistic talent to raise more than £1,000 for charity.

Louie Hartley wanted to sell some of his artwork to his friends and family to raise money for Kidsout UK.

The organisation supports vulnerable children, but specifically looks to provide a present to as many of them as possible at Christmas.

His mum Amy Bohanna set up a JustGiving page with the intention of raising £50.

However, thanks to his great drawings and publicity via the Virgin radio station, Louie’s campaign has raised more than £1,000 so far – and people can still donate to the cause.

Amy said: “Virgin radio made contact with us as they wanted to cover the story.

“Louie appeared with Chris Evans and donations have been coming in ever since. I am really proud of him.”
