Dewsbury firm Brocklehurst Transport scoops to national award

A family-run logistics firm in Dewsbury has scooped a top national accolade.

Brocklehurst Transport won an award for Operational Excellence at the Fortec Distribution Network annual awards – commended by judges for its steady growth, performance and compliance.

The company, which has a 4.3-acre site, offers a huge range of services throughout the UK, including general haulage, pallet distribution, storage, warehousing and pick and pack.

Stuart White, general manager operations at Fortec, presented the award. He said: “This exceptional company consistently scores top marks on everything from POD compliance to delivery performance. Their team are customer focused, service driven and work hard to deliver steady growth.”

Chris Dennigan, commercial director of Fortec Distribution Network, added: “The competition for excellence has been exceptionally strong this year and the efforts of all our businesses to deliver a great customer experience and deliver additional revenue for the Network has been nothing short of exceptional. Dave Webster has worked for the company for 32 years and is now the owner of Brocklehurst Transport after recently completing a management buyout. He said: “We are so proud to have won this award for the second year in a row. What a wonderful network we have.

“It’s worth all our hard work and thanks to everyone who voted for us.”
