Health and beauty spas Eastthorpe Hall in Mirfield and Potting Shed in Batley have teamed up with the college to offer budding students the chance to win a place on their programmes.

And communications experts Talk Direct, an O2 franchise, is re-vamping business at the college’s Dewsbury centre to offer work experience across all areas of the company.

In beauty, which is delivered at the centres in Dewsbury and Huddersfield, the students will be given the opportunity to visit the spas to get first hand experience.

Owner and partner at Eastthorpe Hall Stephanie Barraclough said: “We are really excited about working with Kirklees College and allowing students to extend and develop their skills by sharing the expertise we have within our fantastic facilities.”

Business students will be tasked to solve problems that occur within real companies and will take part in a final project, judged by Talk Direct.
